As long as the page count isn't as high as Les Miserabs. That thing has 1400 pages!

It kinda depends on how good the plot of the book sounds. But I agree with Jolie, a book with almost 1000 pages most likely won't make it on my currently-reading list.

Ken (kensamcampo) depends

The larger the page count the better :) I usually read 100-200 pages a day

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Occasionally it does. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood to read a long book.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

For me it does. I like reading books anywhere from 300 to 500 pages on a daily basis. I wouldn't do something like 1000 pages and anything less than 230 i shy away from

message 7: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (Elmira001) I will read any page count really. I had a book once that was like 1500 pages because it was really three books in one, but it is one of my all-time favorites

Lu Gualdieri (lugualdieri) i love long books, so the page count doesnt affect me as much as weird character's names

message 9: by Beatrice (new)

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) Sometimes. As much as possible, I'm avoiding reading slumps.

I don't like reading big book's because I feel like they take me forever to read and that I never get any progress done and I just want to get to the end! XD But I'm up to read anything.

message 11: by Jojobean (new)

Jojobean I don't care about the pages count if I am interested in the book

Hannah (Hrcisme) | 34 comments No but since I am considered the most book obsessed kid in my grade I find I have to set an example by reading long books. I'm a very proud nerd.

message 13: by Tayla (new)

Tayla Potayta (taylapotayta) I have read books with 500 pages and it felt like it wasnt enough and read books with 200 and just wanted it to end. so no :)

anya (odetovenus) | 3 comments Of COURSE!!!!!!!! NOT.

message 15: by Adam (new)

Adam (amilesb) | 25 comments It does if no one has recommended the book to me. I tend to read something someone says 'I have to read' bc even if I don't like it, it's still fun discussing it.

message 16: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Lingenfelter (stephanielingenfelter) I'm the same way, Adam!

message 17: by Adam (new)

Adam (amilesb) | 25 comments I just saw a statistic that readers on Oyster are 20% more likely to finish a book if the chapters are short. Don't know what is defined as short but I can definitely say I look to see how long a chapter is before I start it...

message 18: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Lingenfelter (stephanielingenfelter) I tend to also see how long a chapter is before reading it!

When I'm getting tired or close to stopping I definitely read 1 more if its short but if its long I just stop and close it right there. I wish I didn't but its true!

message 20: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Lingenfelter (stephanielingenfelter) I will admit, I tend to also!
