So Amy and I thought it would be fun if we could issue a GROUP-WIDE challenge!

It's super simple to play:

1) On the main page of the group, scroll down to our members section. (We now have 417 members! Woo hoo!)

2) Pick your unsuspecting victim, er, challengee...

3) Call them out in this forum (and maybe also in a private message!) and let them know which book you are challenging them to read. Make it one of your favorites!

Remember, this is all in good fun and to encourage the love of books and cross-genre reading, so no fist-fights in these challenges ;)

To kick it off, I'm going to challenge my fellow moderator Amy F. to read The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield! Let's see if she accepts ;)

Evin | 7 comments On the principle that, if you've challenged someone to read a book, then you're probably open to being challenged yourself... I'm going to challenge Dane to read Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!: Adventures of a Curious Character. Hope you enjoy it, I sure did.

Chantel (chantelowsley) | 26 comments Ok. Lisa Palmer challenged me to read The Ice Twins by S.K. Tremayne and I have done so. I'm pasting my review below:

The Ice Twins is by turns a thriller, a mystery and a ghost story. It was an awesome read which was recommended to me as part of a reading challenge on our group's Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ page. Thanks Lisa Palmer!

Lydia and Kirstie, identical twins, were born on a frigid day in winter. For that, and for their “ice-blue eyes and snowy-blonde hair, their grandfather dubbed them “the Ice Twins.

Sarah and Angus, the twins' parents are reeling after one of the 6-year-old twins dies in an accident. A year later, they have moved and tried to start over with their remaining daughter. But then, this daughter starts saying she is the one who was thought to be dead. This book twists and turns around the identity of the girl, whether the accident was actually an accident, and how much culpability the parents have in these situations.

I loved that it seemed like a straight-forward incident and then it was altered as we heard more information from each of the characters. The ending was amazing even though you are left reeling and wondering exactly what happened. An amazing read.

Ok Mariah Hone. I accepted your challenge and I finished The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. As I have said in other postings. Didn't love it but didn't quite hate it. Only 3 stars for me.
