For those of you who haven't checked out our new (awesome!) webpage that Jessica created, there's a chatroom feature for anyone who is feeling extra social during the read-a-thon :)

1. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next 24 hours?
---What the Dog Saw and Other Adventures by Malcolm Gladwell (week 21)
---A Thousand Acres by Jane Smiley (week 25)
---The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath (week 20)
2. Which book is the most appealing in this list?
---What the Dog Saw, but maybe it's only because that's what I'm in the middle of right now. All of them are actually appealing to me.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
---I'd be happy to finish two, but I'll try to at least get to almost the three.
4. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
---My room when it's nighttime or on a rocking chair on our patio when it's daytime.
1. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next 24 hours?
Big Little Lies (antonyms week), Fées, weed et guillotines (side-read) and Lumberjanes, Vol. 1 (graphic novel week maybe). I'll add more if I finish them :)
2. Which book is the most appealing in this list?
I started all of them and they are fun, so none is more appealing for the moment.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
Sleep a little less than the last time :p And finish all the books.
4. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
Bed or couch, with the cats.

1. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next 24 hours?
I'm finishing up The Rosie Project (A-Z Challenge). Then it's:
- The Exorcist (a book that scares you)
- The Heir (a book with a love triangle)
2. Which book is the most appealing in this list?
I'm really liking The Rosie Project but I'm also looking forward to the other two :)
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
I would love to finish all three but I know that I'm taking my dog to the park for a few hours this afternoon so I might be overly optimistic
4. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
I tend to move around between the couch, the recliner, and the bed. I moved to Boston last September and lost my patio, which was rather painful!

All of them are appealing to me - that's why I picked them for the read-a-thon.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
I just to want to finish some of the books I started because the number is getting a little ot of hand :) I just want to read as much as possible in 24 hours.
4. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
Probably roaming around. But I prefer to read in my room.

Roost
Big Little Lies
Bird Box
Oh, Baby, the Places You'll Go! (and maybe a few other children's books to my baby bump- I'm 8 months pregnant)

I've been looking forward to reading this for the antonym week for ages.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?

1. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next 24 hours?
I think I'm going to finish Nomad: From Islam to America: A Personal Journey Through the Clash of Civilizations and The Rosie Project, and then I'll just see, which books I feel like reading afterwards.
2. Which book is the most appealing in this list?
They are all appealing
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
No not really. As mentioned, I hadn't planned to join this read-a-thon, so I haven't really set any goals.
4. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
I'll probably be roaming around and change place from the livingroom, the bedroom and the balcony.

- I want to finish The Summer I Turned Pretty Complete Series (Summer #1-3), I've read 1/3 so far.
- Dracula (a book more than 100 years old)
If I'll be able to finish Dracula I'll add more books.
2. Which book is the most appealing in this list?
The summer I turned pretty, because the first one of these was already awesome.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
I want to finish the first one, otherwise I want to read as much as possible in 24 hours.
4. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
I'll read in our garden most of the time, the weather is lovely today. If it's getting chillier tonight I'll read in my bed.

A Dragon-Lover's Treasury of the Fantastic I am about halfway through this one and wish to finish it today.
tail chasers song My cats seemed to love this book. They both were rubbing it all over. LOL
and I have a few others if I get to them. These are all side reads.
2. Which book is the most appealing?
I do not have a specific preference.
3. Do you have goals for the read-a-thon?
Not for myself, just to have my kids read for a few hours today.
4.Where will you be doing your reading?
I am running a yard sale today, so outside between customers (hopefully). In the hammock, upstairs under the skylight later tonight.

I will be reading One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest for my banned book choice and starting the Fifty Shades of Grey series for my trilogy.
2. Which book is most appealing in this list?
I am really enjoying One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest so far. I used to work in a state psychiatric hospital and it's amazing how spot on some of the material is and how little gas actually changed. I am reading this for another book club I am in and luckily this fit well into the challenge.
3. Do you have goals for the read a thon?
My goal is to be more active than I was last time. I was in school during the last read a thon and I didn't have much time to devote to it so I missed out a lot on the discussions. My schedule is pretty open this time, I just gave a few errands to run here and there so I am hoping to be more active and read more this time arounds.
4. Where will you be doing your reading?
I will be reading on my couch and deck but I may move to a coffee shop if I need a change or scenery and more caffeine later in the day.
Good luck to all of you!

The Street - audio
The Water Knife - print
Who Fears Death - print
2. Which book is the most appealing in this list?

3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
Just to read as much as I can and get as many hours as I can. I will probably go to sleep as usual, but we'll see!
4. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
MY comfy chair, my deck chair and around the house and/or garden with my audio book.

We'll try to do activities every hour (shorter than in the 1st read-a-thon), so have a look at the group to add your progress, take part in the games and do some challenges :)
