Jenna (jenna_marie58) | 5 comments I would be so pleased if Ribbit! got awarded. It is definitely one of my favorites of the year so far.

Karen | 8 comments I keep going back to The Story of Fish and Snail by Freedman. I think it has some Caldecott potential.

Kathy | 12 comments I totally think Mr Tiger Goes Wild and Flora stand head and shoulders above these for the things that Caldecott is looking for - a true "picture book" such that it couldn't be read over the radio as the meaning would be lost without the pictures...

Laura Harrison | 6 comments Mr. Wuffles by David Wiesner is an easy win for the Caldecott gold. It is breathtaking. Mr. Tiger Goes Wild by Peter Brown is also great.

Holly Mueller (hollymueller) | 9 comments I just finished Building Our House and was pleasantly surprised - the cover and title didn't appeal to me, but I thought it was a wonderful story about family, hard work, and dreams. I read Brave Girl when it came out. I LOVE Melissa Sweet, and thought it was a good nonfiction book about a topic elementary kids may not know much about. My students liked it. I still need to read Ribbit! and Dream Friends.
