I don't think I'm going to make my goal of 12! I've already read a lot on the list.

What did you think of "1984"? I finally read it last year, and that after many years of procrastination. I don't know, I think I was intimidated by this novel. The renown of the book among cultivated and politicalized people probably made me think it would be really difficult to read. However, it's quite an easy read. I mean, there's a lot of thinking to do, but the writing isn't pompous.

1. Catch-22
2. The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie
3. The Name of the Wind
4. The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America
5. The Shadow of the Torturer
6. The Golem and the Jinni
7. Never Let Me Go
8. Half a King

And I'm DONE! I've read A Game of Thrones, Wonder, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Kite Runner.

It was an amazing challenge, I'll be definitely participating next year. Good luck everybody :)

It was alright. I'm partial to The Hunger Games trilogy, but I see why this is popular as well. Very happy to see more strong heroines in YA.

@Cassandra- I actually just read Divergent for the second time. It's really good. It's only the end I have trouble with liking. Her romantic relationship was very nice - he was respectful towards although he is in a higher position so you may or may not like those implications.

12/10

8/8

This was my final list (18/18):

Most were very enjoyable reads - just a few that were quite ordinary - and maybe they just weren't the right book at the right time for me...
