Hey everyone!

This thread is a place where members of the group can introduce themselves, say what they hope to get out of this group, and mention what authors and books they love.

So, here we go!

My name is Leonor, I am one of the co-founders of the Twitter Book Club and a moderator here at the group. My favourite authors include Alexandre Dumas, Juliette Benzoni and Eça de Queirós

message 2: by Filipa (new)

Filipa (fiwipa) | 2 comments Hello all! And thanks Leonor (and Vera) for creating the group.
My name is Filipa, and currently living in a city (country!) without proper libraries, what makes me kind of sad. Favourite authors: Amélie Nothomb, Mia Couto and some others like Jeffrey Eugenides.

message 3: by Chanaka (last edited Nov 23, 2013 08:56AM) (new)

Caroca (carocasales) | 1 comments Hi ! Thanks for adding me to the group! My name is Caroca and I split my (free) time between books and writing for TV Dependente. My favorite books are in the mystery/crime category.

message 5: by Patrick (new)

Patrick Loafman | 1 comments Hi. I'm the author of Somewhere Upriver, a humorous novel. My day job is as a wildlife biologist. I'm offering a free goodreads giveaway for a copy of my novel at
/giveaway/sh...

I also just started on Twitter, with the goal of writing 1001 tweets about my book and me. I started this because I've always found it difficult to summarize my book in a short sentence.

Here's one of my tweets trying to summarize my book:

Newts and pufferfish and ancient Haitian mythologies are all interwoven with a bearded biologist in "Somewhere Upriver."

Has anyone els tried a book summary in a single tweet? Post it here.
