When you post a link to a book in a completed task posting, you MUST be careful to link to the edition of the book that you read. The edition you read MUST be the edition that fits the task. When you add the link by clicking on "add book/author," the edition that shows up will not necessarily be the edition that you read - it will usually be the most popular edition.

This also is critical in determining eligibility for a Big Books ticket.

If you're using an ebook for a task in which page numbers or minimums matter, you need to link to the edition that you're using to establish the page numbers.

The moderators do not have time to check every edition of a book, to see if one of them might fit the task - we go by the link you provide in your post, regardless of whether the book in general has been approved in the help thread. So, you need to check the link you provide to make sure that it takes us to the edition that you read.

When you click on "add book/author" and enter a title, one edition will come up. If you click on the picture of the book cover on the left, that brings you to the edition that will show up if you just click the "add" button on the right. When you close out that window, you'll be back to the search results. If the one that shows up there is not the one you want, click on "other editions" under the "add" button. You'll see a list of the various editions.

The easiest way I've found to then get the correct edition linked is to copy the ISBN for the edition you want from that list. Close out that screen, then paste the ISBN into the search screen. That should bring up the correct edition
