Dev Jannerson (dpjannerson) Liebegott's writing is good, but I can't say I enjoyed this. Extremely depressing. As someone struggling with depression and trauma of my own, I probably should have steered clear of this one.

Yeah, I was kind of ambivalent about this one. It moved quickly and had some clear things to say on its themes, but I felt like the pit bull was the only character with a personality. Perhaps that's the point -- that addiction that deep becomes your only identifying trait, but it made for such sad and bland people that it was a challenge to lock into their journeys other than to just feel too depressed to move...
