I was fortunate enough to see Kafka on stage last night at Lincoln Center. It's the only engagement in the United States. It has already played London and will be touring Asia after New York. It was a genuinely beautiful retelling of the story with brilliantly creative staging. The Guardian review from London gave it a rave and I agree. I'll post more after I get home and can post links. Anyone reading this from Japan or Singapore I highly recommend catching it when it comes to you next.

As promised, here's the Guardian review as well as the New York Times review. The production will be coming to Seoul, Saitama and Singapore. I strongly recommend the production to any Murakami readers living nearby.

Very interesting. Sounds like they did a pretty good job of it.
I hope a theatre will show it in the Middle East sometime soon! (Beirut to be exact). I am Murakami fan to the bones
