I see where I misinterpreted that now. So you believed he was on the good side, but not a good person. Is that what you meant?



Well although Severus loved Lily he also HATED James and the fact that Harry’s physical appearance looks a lot like James and his reckless behavior reminds Severus of James made him not so friendly with Harry. Even though Harry has Lily’s eyes.

Just because Harry learnt about his "sacrifices" in the last part, I don't think Snape became the good guy. Maybe he served the good side but he was a bad person at heart. And I have no idea why Harry would name his son after that man.
(Alan Rickman somewhat humanized Snape. Book Snape is much, much worse than movie Snape.)

I am totally with you he had a terrible past to being bullied at school and being abused at home, then having the girl that you loved being taken away by the person who enjoys bullying you.
