Theresa I love series. In fact thats all almost ever read. i get too involved in the characters to let go.
I've recently become interested in the theme of ancient warriors, etc being frozen in ice, then coming alive in our time. Can be werewolves or anything. Any recommendations? I've read the 'Werewulf Sentinels' series but would like something with more meat to it.

Netanella | 152 comments I would recommend Miranda's Viking by Maggie Shayne. It's part of her supernaturals series, but they're not connected that I can tell. Miranda's Viking is frozen in ice and discovered on an archaeological expedition. I thought it very well written and I loved the character of Rolf.

Miranda's Viking (Shayne's Supernaturals, #3) by Maggie Shayne

Sandra | 25802 comments Theresa, I read The Far Arena by Richard Ben Sapir which is about a roman soldier who gets frozen for 1900 yrs. Not a series though and no pnr/uf elements.

Both of these feature the hero encased in ice.

Cursed by Ice (Immortal Brothers, #2) by Jacquelyn Frank Cursed by Ice by Jacquelyn Frank

Viking Unbound (Triad, #3) by Kate Pearce Viking Unbound by Kate Pearce

I'm not the biggest Star Wars fan (as the world gasps in horror) so I don't get the Hans Solo reference. Does "encased" sound weird? Overly formal maybe? It's the word used in the book summary of Viking Unbound by Kate Pearce

Steph (angel4492) | 32515 comments He was actually frozen in carbonite, but still, that was the first thing that came to mind.

Nah, not weird to me, maybe a little formal. :)

Now I get it. Thanks. I'm still fairly new to the group comments thing and I was just curious what you meant.
