I read on and off whenever I'm free, day or night. :)
My biggest obstacle is getting heavy eyes while reading.

No, I prefer quiet when I'm reading.

Rawan (thedarkwriter) hello! :) I like reading in a quiet place and highly prefer actual paper books to pdf's

I love reading in bed too, but I also read pretty much anywhere.

Does your dad also read while you're in the living room? My family reads like that sometimes.

message 64: by Amie (new)

Amie | 3 comments I read anywhere! Usually on my iPad or kindle. My favorite place to read is sitting on my wicker couch in our screened in porch with my fur babies listening to all the sounds of the outdoors.

message 65: by martin eden (new)

martin eden | 405 comments I can read anywhere, anytime! I don't like wasting time doing nothing, so I always have a book with me. I love to read in my bed, but I also like to read in public transports (even for a few stations).
I prefer paper books. I like holding a book, feeling and smelling (and when I was small even tasting!!) the paper.

message 66: by Maria (new)

Maria | 5 comments I read everywhere too, even during boring classes, hidden between some textbook. But, the place I love the most for reading, is at the beach

Lisa Baeringer (goodreadscomlabaeringer) | 24 comments Princess Chinaza wrote: "Yes off course some people don't though.

Anytime really. Probably mostly during the day since my creative juices flow better at night and that's when I like to write.

Do you dog ear a page?"

That's sacrilege. Just kidding. I only dog ear a page when there aren't any of my bookmarks handy.

message 69: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Baeringer (goodreadscomlabaeringer) | 24 comments Yes, guilty. I LOVE LOVE LOVE hardcovers. They are actually my preference. I don't like ebooks. I need something tangible, that i can touch and yes even smell.

message 70: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Baeringer (goodreadscomlabaeringer) | 24 comments Do you collect old and slightly rare books?

message 71: by Nina (new)

Nina Foster (ninafoster) My favorite place to read right now is on my living room couch, because I can stretch out and it's the most comfortable. I used to love reading in my attic library, but the futon was putting my back out.

message 72: by A.K. (new)

A.K. Alliss (akalliss) | 20 comments I usually read until I lose interest and then move to another book. It sort of feels like dropping in and out of time lines. I like to think of myself as a literary time traveler.

message 73: by Sharlene (new)

Sharlene Almond | 5 comments I like to read in a quiet place that allows me to get fully immersed in a good book. I prefer to read a novel in print, however, my E-reader makes it easier to read books when I'm travelling on the train etc.

message 74: by Jeremy (new)

Jeremy I like to read with my headphones on, listening to zen music in my recliner ^_^

message 75: by Wolf (Alpha) (new)

Wolf (Alpha) I like to read in my recliner and listen to music.

message 76: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie | 11 comments I like to read in the left lounge chair (in the lounge room funnily enough :)) or in bed at night time before I go to sleep. Hearing rain and / or having a cup of tea at hand is an added bonus that I love. :)

Mara Pemberton (marapem) | 115 comments I listen to audiobooks!!!!!

message 78: by Kristi (new)

Kristi Lewis (kristilynn001) | 40 comments I read one book at a time. If it's very interesting, I've be known to stay up very late to finish it!

message 79: by Derek (new)

Derek Whenever I have the time, I read. Sometimes it's alone in a bar.

message 80: by Nina (new)

Nina Foster (ninafoster) Has anyone ever tried reading in in the bathtub? It seems like it would be the ultimate way to relax, but it's not because I spend too much time trying to keep the book from getting wet.

message 81: by Thuraya (new)

Thuraya I go to school with the school bus and I like to read in the 40 minutes that we spent in the bus during the way to school or from school to my home . Also I enjoy reading before sleep and if I have any free time then I'll spend it reading :)

message 82: by Thuraya (new)

Thuraya Also I only read physical books and I like to read one book at a time

I'm never going to manage keeping it from getting wet if I try!

message 84: by Kayla (new)

Kayla Tocco (kaylatocco) | 15 comments I usually read 3 books at once, something small, something for fun and something off of a list I'm trying to conquer. Usually different genres so I don't get mixed up and usually mixed between my kindle and physical books

message 85: by Nihar (new)

Nihar Suthar (niharsuthar) | 20 comments I've recently started listening to audiobooks a lot since I drive often, but I also like reading actual books when I'm sitting down and I have free time to read. I'm also the type of person who likes to just focus on one book at a time, rather than reading multiple different books all at once.

I agree with you two, that sound so cozy and relaxing! A lounge chair sounds awesome, but my appartment certainly is too small for one. It would only fit into the hallway, but it has no windows and still ist kind of empty (I recently moved in and don't have enough furniture). So I mostly read on the sofa (it has like a slope on the left side, that's awesome) or in bed. But I tend to fall asleep very quickly and then wake up in the middle of the night, lights turned on and my neck aching...

message 90: by Magda (new)

Magda I can only read one book at a time.

I have a Kindle but at the moment i am back in love with the physical book.

I read day or nigh time, but find it difficult when the tv is on, I cannot read in a car or during a flight.

I can only read a book once, however good the book is, unlike my husband and daughter who can re read .

I like my place on the sofa..with a cuppa and my toy poodle Hollie curled up beside me.

Reading in bed makes me very sleepy which annoys me as I want to read more!...

message 91: by Nina (new)

Nina Foster (ninafoster) I relate! I can read on a plane though. Usually I'm on my sofa reading with my cat curled up beside me. I love the physical book, and like to collect them like trophies on my bookcase.

message 92: by Mara (new)

Mara Pemberton (marapem) | 115 comments I listen to audiobooks. I'm not much of a Kindle reader. Except for Wynsync once in a while.

message 93: by Eliza (new)

Eliza Taye (eliza_taye) | 66 comments I read anywhere and everywhere. If there’s ever a dull moment in life: waiting in line, waiting on someone else, basically waiting at all, I read. I also love to read at night when things are quiet. I don’t like wasting time, so if I can read to limit idle time, I do. I like to read both eBooks and physical books. Reading eBooks are nice because I can just pull out my phone and start reading no matter where I am. It also makes it easier when traveling. I used to pack 5+ books whenever I went somewhere, even if just for a few days, but now I just pack one physical book and keep my phone handy.

message 94: by Heather (new)

Heather (heatherlovely) | 17 comments Audiobooks, Hardcover books, Kindle books. Between the three, my life is a steady emersion of books!

D20 | 162 comments Kindle and paperback mostly, some audio.

message 98: by Kachina (new)

Kachina | 1 comments I can't seem to stick with ebooks, so it's physical copies for me. I especially like mass market paperbacks because of their portability and less feelings of guilt for bending spines and pages. Audiobooks are also great for time spent in the car.

message 99: by Mara (new)

Mara Pemberton (marapem) | 115 comments I basically listen to AUDIOBOOKS. Once in a while I read a book on Kindle.

message 100: by Marisa (new)

Marisa Parker Hmm audio books seem to be gaining in popularity ... maybe because we are all busy but still want to enjoy the journey a book takes us on whilst travelling to and from work whether driving or on a train, etc. I am a hard copy type of person but have used a kindle every now and then. As a debut author who has had a handful of requests for the book to be converted to an audio book, is this something this group would recommend spending money on - that is creating audio books?
Thanks
