Dramapuppy | 34 comments I'm looking for books that only take place in one relatively small setting, where the character or characters are trapped there for some reason. Adult or YA.

Examples: The Lifeboat
Under the Dome

Thanks!

The Bunker Diaryby Kevin Brooks. it's positively claustrophobic.

Pamela Love | 1480 comments Another Lois McMaster Bujold novel that takes place (well, almost all of it) on a space station is Diplomatic Immunity. I strongly recommend reading Falling Free first, and if possible the other books in her Vorkosigan series. Diplomatic Immunity

Andria, I read the synopsis and several reviews of The Bunker Diary and was unable to glean any information about what was going on in this book.
Could you post a few spoilers telling me where this person is imprisoned? Or was he kidnapped?
I think I want to read this one but I need a little more info.

Laurie - I don't remember a lot of details, and I'm not sure if any of what I remember is spoilery or not but I'll hide it anyway (view spoiler) It's a grim, gritty read. People seem to either love or hate it.

``Laurie (laurielynette) OMG - I was afraid of something like that. Thanks for the info, I do want to read this one, should be very gripping.

The Hole

On a spring day in England, six teenagers venture to a neglected part of their school where there is a door to a small windowless cellar. Behind the door, the old stairs have rotted away. A boy unfurls a rope ladder and five descend into The Hole. The sixth closes the door, locks it from the outside, and walks calmly away. The plan is simple: They will spend three days locked in The Hole and emerge to become part of the greatest prank the school has ever seen. But something goes terribly wrong. No one is coming back to let them out . . . ever.
