25.1 - Andy P's Task: Pairs

I'm not really sure about this one because on the cover of the book only Latifa is listed as the author so I'd like one of the moderators to confirm that Shekeba Hachemi is a coauthor before I say it is ok.
Andy

Is a translator a valid second author for book two?
Thank you

The word in book one does not have to have the same meaning, but for book 2 a translator is not a coauthor .

no lungs won't work, just the words on the list, Sorry

The word ..."
Thanks for the clarification.

As stated under the **, the people who write prefaces do not count as authors. Neither do translators. The NYT article , says the book is by Latifa and written with Shekel Hachemi. They are both listed on GRs as authors of the book (even if not on the cover), so it seems as if it fits the requirements for book 2 to me.

So just to clarify. I'm working my way through the Martin Beck series, of which the next one is The Locked Room, for which the author details are: by Maj Sjöwall, Per Wahlöö, Paul Britten Austin (Translator), Michael Connelly (Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ Author) (Introduction). But if I read the previous comments right, that would be fine, as the actual authors are Maj Sjöwall and Per Wahlöö. Thought I'd better check.

Okay, not a problem.

Cool. And hey, no phone is going to manage to type Swedish names with accents right!

Christina Lauren

Still need to settle on my body part though. My son actually had kidney cancer a couple years ago (fine now thanks to the wonderful health care team at Moffitt!), so, I thought a book about that, but, almost all the 'kidney' books are spelt just using the singular, not the plural.

Sorry no, it has to be two names although I would accept two pseudonyms.

I think eyes is the easiest one to find but as noted in message 9 the word does not have to have the "body" meaning so arms as in weapons, or feet as a unit of length would work if that helps at all.

I thought I had found one for kidneys (not that I didn't already have a book lined up with eyes) - The Jersey Sting: A True Story of Crooked Pols, Money-Laundering Rabbis, Black Market Kidneys, and the Informant Who Brought It All Down. Unfortunately, "kidneys" is in the subtitle.

All for the Union
The Journals of Lewis and Clark
One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America's Future
Thank you.

This one actually sounds intriguing though - Stolen Kidneys, Dead Hookers & Other Nursery Crimes!
"Stories include: Excuse Me, But There's a Kidney in My Soup, Honey Is That a Dead Hooker Under Our Bed? and Narcissistic Nursery Rhyme."

that' will work for Book 1

All look good to me.

Obviously the coauthor book fits the task

They both work. Take your pick.

(Thanks KS Mary!)
For Book 2, will any of these books be ok?
Half Irish
Authors are Pete Morin & Suzanne O'Leary
The House of Secrets
by Brad Meltzer & Tod Goldberg
Thanks!

Apologies if you have answered this already, as I might have missed it!

no sorry the word has to stand alone, but as someone has already pointed out the meaning does not have to be a body part so feet could refer to length or arms to ammunition or hands to workers

Thanks. I was just hoping to use a book already on my shelves, and that was as close as I could fine. I think I can get ahold of A Farewell to Arms quite easily though.

Relic - Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child
This is book one in the Pendergast Series. Sometimes when I search for the book I see both authors listed, and sometimes I see only Preston listed. However ... when I open any of the book's main pages, both authors are definitely listed.

Book Concierge, I corrected all editions to show both authors as shown on cover.

This is a two book task. Read one book that fits the criteria for Book 1 and another that fulfills the requirements for Book 2.
No books with the genre "children" listed may be used for this task.
Book 1 is a Title task. Read a book that has one of the following body part pairs in the TITLE (subtitles are excluded): Eyes, Ears, Arms, Hands, Fingers, Legs, Feet, Toes, Kidneys. Please notice that the word MUST be plural because it is a pair.
Book 2 is an Author** task. Read a book that has exactly two authors listed on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ. There must be two names listed in the author credits.
Examples:
The Golem of Hollywood by Jonathan Kellerman and Jesse Kellerman
The Blood Gospel by James Rollins and Rebecca Cantrell
Books written by co-authors who use a one name pseudonym such as Charles Todd will NOT work as only one name is listed in the author credits.
**Only authors that are identified as authors (or a default blank in the author role field), co-authors, or contributors may be used for tasks involving author information. Other roles or functions such as editor, illustrator, artist, translator, introduction, designed by, foreward, preface, assistant or afterword may not be used for author-sourced tasks. Ask about other roles identified in a Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ record in the season's General Questions help thread.
