Hi missy - if you use a desktop computer you can find them on the homepage. If you’re using the app, go to the First comment on this thread and select the hyperlink to the club’s bookshelf - should be the top three books. Hope that helps!

I request the books from my library but I like to give them a few weeks to get them in

Hi Sally - they have not been chosen yet, we're actually voting for them as a group right now.
Please see this link for polls if you want to vote: /poll/list/1...
Also, the BOTM FAQ has explanations on nominating, voting, and timing for choosing group books. Link is here: /topic/show/...
Let me know if you have additional questions!

Books for February are still being chosen, that's why you can't find them yet. :-)
There's a poll going on, ending Jan 8th. You can go there, vote and help choosing. Just click "Polls" on the top right hand corner of the desktop GR page.

Thank you for your fast reply!

I have experienced some, but much less than I see people reporting.
Recently I had a bug which prevented me form accessing the "Stats" page. I just waited for some ten days and then it was OK again.
But if a bug is unheard of or disturbs your use of GR, you can:
1. Check discussions. Most likely there's a lot of people with the same experience and GR staff will tell you what is going on and what to expect in that specific discussion thread.
2. READ the discussion before asking again something that has already been answered.
3. If you look thoroughly and don't find one discussion that fits your situation, you can start a new one.
4. If nothing sounds good, ask for help by e-mail: [email protected]

When you click Settings, at the bottom left-hand side of the Settings menu is a button saying "Save your settings to your ________ shelf". It appears that the settings must be applied separately to each of your shelves.

1) I would like to copy this group's Reading list into My Movies, and create a shelf for it. How can I do that all at once (rather than click on each book one at a time? Basically, I want to use something like "batch edit" but it doesn't show up.
2) Similarly, if I see that a friend has a unique shelf with 10 books that I would also like to read, how can I copy that shelf and/or the 10 books (without clicking on them one at a time.)?
2b) Same scenario, switched people - I have a shelf just for recs for a family member. Now that he has his own account, I want to get those movies off my list and help him get it into his account.
Any suggestions? BTW is there a discussion page somewhere that is dedicated to ŷ how to questions?
Or tech questions related to ebooks, audiobooks, devices, apps. e.g. How to transfer electronic and audio books to different devices?

Tech questions, I dunno. I just ask my husband because he's a geek.
Um, ebooks from the library, or from OpenLibrary.org, or PDFs, I download to my Android tablet and leave them there until I'm done with them, or until they get automatically 'returned'.
Boughten ebooks are on my kindle app in the amazon cloud, or whatever all those words mean... I can access them on any device even though I don't actually have a Kindle.
Audiobooks from Overdrive at the public library, my husband (view spoiler) .

Thanks, I'll check it out. I meant MyBooks. My husband was probably saying something about movies and my fingers typed the word. I used to download library audio books into itunes and my old ipod, but it's not working now. I'm listening to Fahrenheit 451 on my laptop which is OK, but my phone would be better.

Unfortunately I don't think there's a way to add all of the group books to your personal bookshelf without doing it 1-by-1. I've given this feedback to ŷ before, not sure where they are on it. Cheryl's link above is what I used too!

Thank you all for the feedback, it seems to be a glitch of the page that sometimes shuffles my stuff

You can always renominate almost any book.
Sometimes we'd like to read one, it doesn't win, then we renominate it the following month.
Some obvious exceptions:
- if has been read, it shouldn't be renominated.
- it still can be renominated in the "Bookshelf catchup" thread, except if it has been reread recently.
BUT since you sent us for the current month thread (June), I think your doubt may be about expressing your wish to read the same already nominated book. If that is the case, you just "second" that book, by saying "I second xxxx",
You must have noticed it by now.
Hope I have been able to help.

I suspect a lot if their list of 100 books are suited.

That being said, if this group does play along somehow, I'm in.

I read 31 for sure (not counting DNFs) but there are 10-12 titles I'm not sure about. If I didn't read them, I saw the films. Like Cheryl, there are a few I wouldn't bother reading.

hmm. I think 3 of us had 31. I wonder if we're close in age at all.

They are The Bell Jar, Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine and 1984.
The reading month started on June 1st.
Usually, by this time, the discussions for the books are open. My guess is our moderator, Kasey may have had some trouble that prevented her from publishing them.
I suggest we just start reading. She'll probably be back soon.

But the rest of what I said is OK. Some more info that may help others, especially new members, in the meantime:
1. 1984 is the catch up read for June. The other two are new reads.
2. You can always know what are the BOTM by going to the "Polls" page (link on the top left hand side) and checking which are the winners of the latest poll.
3. The reading month always starts on the 1st.

I hope she is doing alright =)

In the meantime, it is interesting to remind everyone, especially new members, that past discussion threads remain always open!
So, for the time being, both discussion threads for "1984" are still open and can be used by anyone reading this month "Bookshelf Catchup" choice, 1984!

Spoilers thread, for those who HAVE read the book:

I hope she's OK. If I were her, I would absolutely appreciate the help.

Yes, some groups have more than one moderator. The decision on the need and the establishing of other ones is usually of the group's founder or first moderator,
Two days ago, I sent Kasey a message offering to help, but I've got no answer yet. And she is still our only mod.
There is one or another action we could take, if need be, but I still feel it is a bit early to do that. Kasey's been a terrific work, I wouldn't like to be be too fast on assuming the need to making any changes.
Like I said, let's wait some more days and see what happens. :-)

--------------------------------------
Yes, that's the solution that we should expect.
I've actually sent a message to one member of the GR support staff, explaining the situation and asking for guidance, so that, if such action becomes necessary, it is in compliance with GR policies and what else may be necessary.
I just preferred not to mention that before so as not to cause any concern, but since you are genuinely worried about the group, as others may be, I'm telling you now. :-)
If Kasey really doesn't come back soon, I'll start a discussion thread for letting everyone know about what is to be done (like starting provisional discussions for the June BOTM).
Then, in accordance to GR guidance, I'll take the necessary actions to keep the group going on in the short term.
However, I still think it is important to give Kasey a bit more time, or credit, or the benefit of the doubt. :-) And hope she's all right and coming back soon!

That would give respectable time for K to come back.

They are The Bell Jar, [book:Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine|31434..."
I hope all is well and it is a technology issue.
I started to read Eleanor Oliphant is competely fine and I couldn't remember which group was reading it. I'm only on page 50 but glad to hear others are reading it.
