Magdelanye | 2810 comments having tried to eliminate this silly folder and unable to, I am proposing we use it for a dump: anything that sucks our energy or distracts us from our true intentions we could place here to neutralize

Magdelanye | 2810 comments news media certainly qualify as diversionary at least, selective and out of context usually, much ado about the not so important and the terrifying....hard to discern the truth.
in the meantime, news of the day is all about New York and tho I know its big, I am thinking that I now have a dear friend there with children...may you be safe and sound Ellie

Petra | 1098 comments I'm waiting for Ellie to log in as well.

message 4: by Ellen (new)

Ellen (elliearcher) | 1373 comments Here I am. We are all safe here. My daughter went to a screening yesterday a couple of blocks from where it happened and and said how eerie it is with the streets shut down. Brings back bad memories

message 5: by Ellen (new)

Ellen (elliearcher) | 1373 comments Thank goodness the screening was yesterday and not Saturday - both my children were two blocks from the site of the blast

Petra | 1098 comments Ellie, how scary for your daughter! I'm happy to hear that everyone is all right. How is the city taking this?

Magdelanye | 2810 comments so glad to hear from you. How distressing it must be to be a parent in new York these days. May you all be healthy and safe

these words have a distressing relevance to now.

I got a strange message yesterday from someone who I could not findon GR database. On my gmail it said;
Demmei posted a new comment on Magdelanye's review of So You Don't Get Lost in the Neighborhood
HI

With Regards
Jonathan Demme

what do you think?
It kind of creeps me out

message 9: by Petra (new)

Petra | 1098 comments Very creepy indeed. Sounds like a troll to me. Maybe report him and let GR deal with him?

I certainly wouldn't email him. He'll have your email address then and who knows what other info he can dig up from that.

Magdelanye | 2810 comments putting this here because really, I dont know where might be appropriate. This is thr sad event that happened yestrrday sometime after I admired and petted the house cat and left him eating from his dish on the deck. This morning my friend found him and the traces of where he had fled the attack, they think a bobcat not a bear or cougar but whatever it was it got him.
He is buried under a young tree near the house and my friend made a beautiful cross. We are sad.
And its my moms birthday.

Magdelanye | 2810 comments Was about to add that oddly enough the cat dying on my moms birthday would have been worse if she had been alive. She didnt particularly like cats but her nickname in the family was Kitten or Kittie

message 12: by Petra (new)

Petra | 1098 comments Oh no! My condolences to everyone involved, Magdelanye. I'm sorry to hear this happened to a beloved cat. He has a lovely resting place.

Happy celestial birthday to your mom.

Petra | 1098 comments We have my step-dad with us. He's relaxing and enjoying a few weeks with us. We'll be returning to the Island late next week and will see him settled and some house tasks taken care of before returning home.
