Hi Charity, my earlier note on the Book Request & Bookopoly - 2017 was probably buried; I should've posted here too:
"A quick note if you're looking to purchase property, please declare your intention in this thread on December 1 before you start reading. Your 7 days will start ticking then."
So, I'm not going to take your comment #3 under consideration for now (sorry!). It's going to be first in first serve tomorrow! So get in quick... again :)

I usually just do AU Eastern as I'm terrible at time conversion. As of now, it's 4 hours & 10 mins to 1 Dec ;)

I do the same, I go by my own time zone, which is CET (Central European Time), otherwise I would go crazy with the conversion.

In which case it is now 00.19 on December 1st and I would like to buy
The Beagle Scouts please!

I'm announcing my intent to purchase Schroeder. I've requested books on the Properties thread. :-)

I'm going to be reading Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption.
I've reserved all 8 properties for all who's intending on purchasing properties. You have 7 days to complete your reads & post your reviews as a new post in this thread, please.
Good luck!!
Good luck!!

~ Review ~
This was a cute little book - a quick and quirky read, mis-titled of course because how could any book with a title this fun be considered uninteresting? It's actually a collection of three novellas, put together in a related anthology, and reading more like a series. Fred is an atypical hero who attends his high school reunion and meets up with one of his old geek friends, predictably a girl, who turns out to work for a branch of the government that hunts down paranormals. Fred and Krystal join forces and all kinds of interesting things start happening. I like quirky humor books, and this one was better than most.

My book request was filled by Sassafrass.
I'm going to read Amy & Roger's Epic Detour

Will read Inamorata picked for me by Ashley

Congratulations, Pat!
Could you set up the property thread for Schroeder please? That will be where others will put in their request for you to pick books if they land on Schroeder. Let me know when done so I can update all threads, thanks!

Thanks. I got lucky because I had the book on hand - I didn't have to go to the library or anything, and I'm an early riser and don't go to work until the afternoon, so I sat down with a cup of coffee and a warm blanket and read all morning.
I put a thread in this folder. Let me know if I need to move it someplace else...

-Review I have TOTAL fixed feeling about this book. I see so many rated super high...but it just didnt do it for me. The first half of the book was REALLY, REALLY good! (The Begore) I couldnt wait for Ma, and Jack to escape. Reading about their stuggles and life, being held prisoner by a man. Ma was kidnapped 7 years previously, and mothered a child Jack during her captivity. Jack is now 5, and the story is told through him. The second half (The After),is told after they escaped their "rooom".... I hated! It was annoying that the story was still being told through the boy. While we listened about his story of getting his Dora backpack, Ma is in the hospital to depressed to leave her bed. I would of rather of heard her story, and how the kidnapping effected her, and her struggles to get back to a real life, and not just bits and pieces through Jack. So for me the book was just okay.
Congratulations, Abbie!

I'm not a fan of fantasy or sci-fi genres...but reading the blurbs for this book beforehand, I thought it would be different...a clever premise. And it was to a point. Thursday Next is the heroine...she is a time traveling member of a unit of England's force to police literary crimes. She is in a position to hunt down a villain who has found a way to alter the plots of famous literary masterpieces. So... it is a bit of fun...but it didn't quite work for me overall. Three stars when I expected 4 to 5.
I know I am supposed to now set uo the thread in a separate folder...but how did the others get the graphics included in theirs?

I think your book has too many pages to qualify. The rules state that in order to purchase a property your book MUST have 280-420 pages. :-(

I did an image search on google for Schroeder, then did a "copy image address", and pasted it into the html for image coding here. I can talk you through it if you like. PM me if you're interested - it's not hard.

My review -
Love in Disguise was a pretty average Christian Romance. Nothing really special about it.
Something I liked was Ellie's inner monologues. She was more intelligent than many females heroines I have read about recently.
Something I disliked was how easily Ellie's disguise fooled everyone. It was about as unrealistic as Clark Kent taking of his glasses and being unrecognizable.
Cute book, but I would not read it again.

I actually landed on that property and was going to put it on hold myself. That's when I saw the book Charity selected and remembered that it was long (I read it a few years ago). I figured I'd give Charity a heads up so that maybe she could change to another book that fit the page limitations.
If she elects not to, please put Woodstock on Ice on hold for me. I'm starting The Death of Bees today which has 320 pages.

(Edited with correct page count)

I saw that you loved it, Pat, that's what made me put it on my list. :) I'll let you know how it goes.

I've had this book on my tbr for years and no real reason as to not reading it before now. I ended up liking it. It was a sweet story and was really nice seeing these guys fall in love. The main conflict in the story came from the record label, and that did get a little old and a bit drawn out in the middle. However I wanted Danny and Elliot to get their HEA. I also enjoyed the other relationships made in the band. They were supportive of each other and build get friendships between each other. Overall an enjoyable story.
