Em Lost In Books (emlostinbooks) There are lots of books that I'm looking forward to in next few months. Second half of this year is going to be busy for me as most of my most awaited books are coming out. So these are the books what I'm looking forward to:

City of Heavenly Fire
Skin Game
Tower Lord
The Shadow Throne
Half a King
Silver Shadows
The Broken Eye

Tell me what you people are waiting for.

Oh, majorly! :D In fact, if it doesn't launch in India or on the Kindle, I'll probably source it from the US. ;)

Adrian is a major factor in making me read that series too! But, from what we saw of Sydney in VA, she was a pretty strict and sincere alchemist. I just wanted to know how she would feel when she fell in love with a vampire, and found out that she could do magic :)

I totally agree with you about Sydney. But Adrian has came a long way in this series from a drunkard spirit user to an intelligent vampire. A complete makeover :D

blurb looks very good for The Bone Clocks :)

I'm waiting for City of Stairs.

Sumit Singla (sumitsingla) I've been intending to read Cloud Atlas before The Bone Clocks gets released. Dunno if/when I'll get the time.

This is the dilemma that everyone faces on GR with growing piles of to-read, really want to read or can't wait etc lists.

message 14: by Em Lost In Books (new)

Em Lost In Books (emlostinbooks) @Sumit: tell me a series/book that you got to know about after GR and is your favorite now.

message 15: by Sumit (new)

Sumit Singla (sumitsingla) Well, the first one that comes to mind is Mistborn. :D

I've read Prince of Thorns & I hated it. Yikes!!!

Akshay (akshay_sauron) | 651 comments Yes I know many readers couldn't get past the initial violence and apathy shown by the main character. Once past that its quite engrossing and the writing is top notch. I found Mark Lawrence to be very quotable and his prose is very lyrical. I gave the 1st book 3 stars and both the sequels 5 stars.

Well, I tried book 2 too. but after reading 30% of the second book. Incessant blabbering of Jorg gave me a headache & I finally gave up on Jorg.

So what are your other favorite fantasy books?

message 21: by Akshay (new)

Akshay (akshay_sauron) | 651 comments I like Mistborn, Stormlight Archive series, Malazan series, Kingkiller Chronicles, First Law trilogy, Gentleman Bastard.

Akshay (akshay_sauron) | 651 comments There's so much to read and my tbr list keeps on growing. I haven't read any thriller or scifi in a while and its so frustrating because I feel like I'm missing out on those books.
