Happy holidays to everyone!

If you've got your eyes on any yoga-related books (out now or coming out this year) that you think would make good group reads, please let us know on this thread. I am looking at a few possibilities, including YOga FAQs by the esteemed Richard Rosen that comes out in spring.

Namaste!!

Emma | 1 comments Hi! My name is Emma, and I am 16 years old. I recently started yoga because I kept hearing about it's amazing benefits. Dealing with anxiety everyday has took away my light, but starting yoga gave me hope, wisdom & hapiness. Anyway, i just wanted to share a Yoga book with this community! It's called Yoga 365 By Susana Harwood Rubin. Please go check it out, have a great day!

Thanks for these suggestions. MaryAnn, Yoga Beyond the Mat is indeed great, so I'm making it the February read.

I will check out the other recommendations.

And welcome to the group, Emma!

J. Schlenker | 3 comments Hi, I'm Jerri. My husband and I both practice yoga. My husband is much, much better at it than me, although I'm the one that got him started. A good portion of our bookshelf is yoga related. I began writing about seven years ago and have started publishing a little over a year ago. My books are fiction, but have yoga undertones. "Autobiography of a Yogi" (my favorite book of all time) played strongly in "Jessica Lost Her Wobble," my first book. My husband and I started taking Wim Hoff's online class which is yoga (the exercises, breath work, and meditation) and cold therapy, a large aspect of my second book, "The Color of Cold and Ice." I guess I can't write anything without some aspect of yoga. One of my short stories in my third book, "The Missing Butler and Other Life Mysteries" has a short story entitled Mermaids which is about older women doing aquatic yoga.

I'm 63. Each year my resolution is I'm going to get better at yoga (all aspects of it).

Namaste,
Jerri
