Hi everyone! the book i'm after is one that i read in my teens.

It involves dying, and then arriving aboard a ship to a "land" where you reverse in age until you are a baby, and then once you become a baby, you get put into the river until the river guides you to the horizon (and presumably the next life?)

Your help will be so appreciated!. Ive been trying to identify this book for years!
