For the last ten years, I've gone to the World Fantasy Convention across the USA, Canada and last year, in the UK. I found the cons full of resources, and a lot of friendly people. What other cons are good to attend?

I went to San Diego Comic Con last year (my first) and it was pretty overwhelming - so many great things, but soooo many people! I managed to get into two panels and I met Felicia Day and Patrick Rothfuss, got a free book, and pins and stickers and posters. But OMG I wanted to cut my feet off they hurt so much by Sunday.

I want to try and get to the Phoenix one next year, I think it's a little less crazy.
