I've been powering through some reading lately and it feels good! Especially since I'm showing 3 books ahead on my challenge for the year.

This month I read...

Scarlet by Marissa Meyer- I started this series last year reading Cinder. It is rare I say a sequel is better than the first book, but this one definitely is! I'm officially pretty obsessed with this series right now.

Hilltop House by L.A. Shute- While parts of this book were a little rough to get through it did end up being a pretty good little story. The main character is absolutely wonderful as well. This one is by a local author too, so that's pretty cool!

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher- I listened to this on audio book and I'm so glad I did. I had read this book before several years ago, but the audio book is just one of those audio books that does a great job at bringing you into the story. If you want to participate in our Community Read of this book that the GCPL is hosting, I highly suggest giving the audio a try! Also check the info we have here on our Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ page about the Community Read in our Discussions.

The Miserable Mill by Lemony Snicket- I'm finally getting to part of this series I don't remember as much from now. It's been so much fun to revisit these childhood favorites!

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman- This one got a 5 star rating! This is such a sweet, funny, heartwarming story. I simply loved this book! I for sure am going to keep working my way through this authors collection since both books I've read by him so far have ended up with a 5 star rating.

What did you read this month? Be sure to share down below!

Happy Reading!

This month I read Hilltop House. This cozy-style mystery did not immediately hook me; however, I found the main character, Packard, to be endearing and funny! I really enjoyed the second half of the book, once the characters and setting were well-established.

I am currently reading Thirteen Reasons Why. Using cassette tapes as a form of communicating is a clever solution to giving a character a voice who has passed away. This book deals with serious topics, so I am trying to read it slowly, and reflect on the characters' actions.

I am also listening to Where'd You Go, Bernadette. What a fun book! I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far.

I will let you know what I think when I finish the last two!
