This month I read
The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware- This book brought major The Girl on the Train flashbacks. The alcoholic being in the wrong place at the wrong time theme definitely applies to both. I did still enjoy this book though. The way it ended certainly keeps you guessing still!
Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls, and Everything in Between by Lauren Graham- I’m a HUGE Gilmore Girls fan and I’m not sure why it took me this long to pick up this book, but I’m so glad I finally did. I listened on audio and while it was short it really felt like I was in the car with Lauren listening to her stories. She had some wonderful, humorous, and heartfelt anecdotes to share.
The Vile Village by Lemony Snicket- The unfortunate events are getting more unfortunate, and the mystery keeps going deeper. Love this book series!
Dimestore: A Writer's Life by Lee Smith- This was the Last Chapter Book Club book of the month. While I did not love this book, I did enjoy a look into Lee’s life. It was interesting to see how her life affected her writing and vise versa. I really enjoyed hearing about her life in Grundy too, especially since I grew up about 2 hours from Grundy in Southwest Virginia.
