PattyMacDotComma | 1167 comments Ginny Moon by Benjamin Ludwig Ginny Moon is the Engllsh version.

Ginny Moon (HarperCollins) by Benjamin Ludwig Ginny Moon is the French translation.

I don't know if language versions are usually listed together or not. Obviously the publicity for the French one should be in French (as it is). I'm curious to know if these things would normally be separate entries or not.

Thanks

Elizabeth (Alaska) Yes, works in different languages are combined.

Empress (the_empress) We combined all of the following:

*Different publications of the same book.
*Different formats of the book (hardcover, paperback, audio).
*Editions/translations of the book in other languages. Even though many translations differ significantly, we've made the decision to combine them all, and have people note the differences in their reviews.

Source: Manual.

Not mentioned but we also combine revised and extended editions (mostly non-fiction) as well as edition that might have difference in content (not due to translation). This is usually decided for each case separately.

I've combined the above editions

Thanks for the information.

Can you change it so the publisher's blurb is the English one, please? It's currently showing the French!

Fixed. Thanks for telling us - sometimes the combining does this with descriptions.

Subhadeep Das (deepjuillet) | 5 comments Hi, I try to read books in different languages to broaden my understanding, but I seem to find that books on different languages with different ISBNs are merged together. It also strange to find all blurbs merged as well, which is not really fair for other language readers. Now that searches allow checking ISBNs I suggest each publication with ISBN unless it’s a reprint or a new edition, should be entered as a separate item.
