Sarah (sarahlittlecornerforbooks) Do you have to buy all hardcovers or all paperbacks of a trilogy/series? Does it bother you not having everything match? Oh course, I love hardcovers and think those who buy all hardcovers have a beautiful row of matching books. I just don't have the money to buy hardcovers all the time. I don't really mind if I have a series where majority is hardcover, then I have one paperback. I don't mind.

CourtLovesBooks I don't really care. It nice if they all match but if I really want to read something it doesn't matter to me.

mandinmandin (amaah) I like to have the books of a triology/series matched. There aren't much hardcover books around here, so I mostly have paperback.

†Reviews of a FearStreetZombie† (fearstreetzombie) I'd rather have all my books paperback (cheaper)
But if I were to get a box set collectible, I want all hardback

I'd like them to match!! Hardcovers stay in better condition longer and the covers look nicer.

Claire G (lockerpaint) It's certainly preferable, but not necessary. It does get on my nerves a bit though.

I agree completely! I much prefer hardcovers, and buy them whenever possible (although yeah, they are more expensive). But even if I have paperbacks, I still want them to match, haha. It bothers me if they don't xD especially since they look incongruous on my shelf.
