WHAT. REEN IS ALIVE!!????
I remember mentioning in the first book that I thought Reen would be making a future appearance, however I gave up that thought since we are now into the third book and he’s never appeared. UNTIL NOW. AND HE’S MISTBORN. WOAAAAHH.

Let’s back up a bit though, and talk about Spook and this voice he is hearing:
- So “Kelsier is apparently speaking to Spook, saying things like, “I never did like him (referring to Breeze) and urging Spook to kill. Hmmmm anyone else feel like this is familiar? Yes, I am talking about Zane, and the voice that he heard in his head, the voice that claimed it was God. I think Spook is now hearing the exact same voice, only this one is manipulating him by saying it is Kelsier. Could this be Ruin? I definitely don’t think it’s good
- Btw the scene with Spook in the burning building was awesome! Im worried for Spook though, with this voice in his head

- This also gets me thinking about how Marsh implanted that metal spike into Lord Penrod, and now Ruin will be able to slightly urge things into motion in Luthadel. So I’m thinking that our poor Spook has also been stabbed by a similar spike, and is hearing the voice of Ruin. Remember that time when he was stabbed by a sword, and the tip of it broke off in him? I forgot if he ever pulled it out, but I remember him saying the swords where very thin. I think these must actually be hemalurgy spikes. Which gets me thinking is Quellion in league with the Inquisitors? He has a shaved head. (XD not that that means anything, but just wanted to point it out, as Inquisitors have shaved heads).
- Also on the subject of Quellion, Sazed and Breeze are worried that if they assassinate Quellion, then his second will take his place. Am I the only one that finds this reasoning to be a bit flawed? I feel like it’s just a bit of a plot device Sanderson is using, so that they don’t just assassinate Quellion ;) I mean if they assassinated him, what’s stopping them from taking out his second in command, or just using pressure to scare them.

THE THREE SPECIES:
- Okay I now understand what you meant Dimitris, about the three races being similar!
- In this part we learn that Koloss are in fact, made from humans!! This wasn’t a huge surprise for me, as I mentioned before that I was spoiled about something when looking for fanart, and tis is what I was spoiled about. But still! And it’s also so weird how Koloss, Kandra, and Inquisitors are all so similar in that they are made from hemalurgy! The Koloss and Inquisitors especially give me a Frankenstein feeling.
- We learned about the blessings of Kandra, and how these are hemalurgy spikes.
- In one of the italic passages it mentioned something called ‘adonasium? No idea what that is yet!
THE MIST:
- So this part further discussed the pattern of the mist killings, and how it is always 16% that get sick, with 16% of them being ill for longer. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!? I mean we know the Mist is intelligent in some way, and is most likely being used by something, whether it is for Ruin or Preservation idk (most likely Ruin though, however the mist spirit trips me up with this idea).
THE SECOND BALL:
- I feel like this ball took place at the Canton for a reason, because that’s where Yomen knew they wanted to investigate. It actually kinda seems obvious that it was made to be a trap. But hey, it was a really cool scene! I loved how Vin went back in forth, making the noble women following her become awkward in their pretending. Hahaha it was pretty brutal how she knocked them out!
- I also enjoyed the argument between Elend and Yomen, however, Elend isn’t exactly making a good appearance to all the people in the city.
- I HAVE A THEORY. I think Yomen isn’t a mistborn. I think he is a Atium misting, the first we’ve ever heard of! This makes it so he has no physical or mental advantages, but can burn Atium to see the future of people’s movement.

But yes Reen just entered the picture; I’m going to continue reading now!

Let me know your thoughts on this part ^_^
