Hey Leslie, I did not know that was coming to be a series and I have not read the book. (Seems Flynn should be in our 'always adapted authors' section! she's on a role!)
I saw the Gone Girl film (Affleck fan) and didnt like it, though I started the book and am ACTUALLY enjoying it! (will let u know how i go)
Saw the HORRIBLE FILM - Dark Places (and was so horrible i would never even bother 2 try the book at ALL)
but this Series - just by the trailer I would say looks good and I will watch it! (maybe we can buddy up? :) So it will be a good 3-4 mths assume before its out?

Yeah, I don't know if I saw it on imdb or read about it in an article, but I know I saw someplace that it said June 2018. I saw a tv ad/promo showing what all is coming HBO, which is what prompted me to read it.
I didn't know Dark Places was a movie! Haven't read that book yet (and not sure i want to!)
What didn't you like about Gone Girl movie? I really loved the book, and read it before seeing the movie (actually, scrambled to read that one the week before it came out!) :D
I'm currently reading Farenheit 451, as that's coming to HBO too (although I know it's already been made into a movie...from the 60's??)

I just watched the trailer you posted and that's for Showtime!!! WHAT??? 2 versions??? Here's the HBO one (from imdb) and if you scroll down, you'll see Release Date of June 2018.
We don't get Showtime, so I won't be able to see that one. Wild.

I dont know, about Gone Girl, Im not a fan of the actress but my mother funny enough in the UK msg me last night and said have you seen a film with Ben Affleck called Gone Girl? I think you will like it, (lol) and 'Bens wife is a bitch in it' ) Hhahaha (shes 70) so she loved it. I will give it another go.
Yes Dark PLaces- a boring, dark film starring Charlize Theron and the 'twist' is rubbish. Lol.
But I will watch this Sharp Object (let me know when it starts) Though WHY a psych would be released from a mental instituation to then go help others is a bit odd lol
Anyone else going to watch?
