Susie I think this question has already been answered but I can’t find it so forgive me for asking again. Is there a way to search a Listopia list for a particular book? I’m on the app because we’re on holiday so I can’t fiddle and find it on the desktop site. Thanks in advance!

Sushicat | 820 comments I don’t think you can search a list for a book - definitely a feature I would appreciate. It might be easier to look from the book point of view. When you’re on the book’s page, there is an indication of the lists that book is listed on. Two are shown and all the others can be listed.
This is of course if you’re on the browser... The app is rather useless beyond the basics.

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 8254 comments Susie ... I don't use a phone ... but I've seen many members comment that rather than the app, they access the site via their phones and that gives them more options.

Susie Yes, that’s what I ended up doing last night BC. The app is very limited. Thanks for your suggestions!

I found that place today :-)
Use the menu at top of this page.
Select "Browse".
Select "Lists".
Look uderneath the banner, to the right.
Find "search lists".
Key in book title.
Lists containing that book title will populate.
Select the list.

Whew. Feel so much better now that I was able to answer 1 question.

*Another method, if the book is on your GR bookshelf already*
(Not sure if it is viewable in the app)

If you use the "search books" function at the top of the GR menu, or even just follow an html link from your GR bookshelf to a specific book, "Lists With This Book" (Listopia) appears about midway down the page. (Below "Friend Reviews" and above "Community Reviews.") In other words, just look up the book you are interested in and scroll partway down the page, until you see "Lists With This Book."

annapi | 5488 comments I tried Cynda's method for two books, but it didn't work. Only one list appeared, which was not my chosen list. When I manually searched my chosen list for the titles, I found both on page 1.

Lisa A's method worked for me, though I still had to scroll through several pages of lists before I found mine. But it was much faster than manually going through my list to find the titles.

Anita Pomerantz | 9141 comments Hi everyone!

If you've discovered a way to do something that PBT members may want to or need to do, would you mind posting it in the "Welcome to PBT" folder. I've posted a new thread for sharing these ideas . . .Member Tips and Tricks. I hate to lose the suggestions and step by step processes.

I had the same - Lisa's method brought up a series of lists for my test book, but the feature that should work just as well and more quickly (Cynda's excellent find) returned no results. Bizarre. Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ' functionality is a mystery to me sometimes!

It's really good to know how to do these things - and thanks for setting up the tips thread, Anita!

I wonder about the functionality, too. Weird, glitchy things seems to happen on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ sometimes.....

I use a PC, so go to the book's main GR page and then click on the link that goes to lists with this book.
