I've sent a mail to Amazon UK to have answers on why I get the same error message as I had for my previous review. I'll post them once this is sorted out.

Amazon has told me that my reviews aren't accepted because I haven't bought for 40£ on the amazon.co.uk site. Either they changed the way they enforced the rule or something else I don't understand happened because I had no problem posting my first two reviews for this round on it.

Anyway, it might take a while but I'll do my digital purchases on Zon.co.uk for a while until I get to that threshold.

Thanks for the update Christian, I was concerned to read that Amazon might have changed their policy so I went to see if I could still post reviews on Amazon sites where I have no specific account and have never made any purchases at all.

If you have tried the advice in this post I did on the topic , there is another way you can try which is to use your KDP Dashboard and on the Bookshelf under the price of the book it offers the option to 'View on Amazon...' and a drop down menu. You can select UK there and then search for the book by title and author on the UK site to leave a review.

Remember, if ever you are offered a sign in screen, just sign in with your regular account details.

Hope this helps as I am very sure now that Amazon have not changed their policy on posting to their sites where you have not got a specific account.

Tried the access through KDP dashboard and I still get the error message.

Here's the exact mail from the amazon.co.uk staff

"Hello,

To write a Customer Review, you must have used your account to make at least £40 in purchases on Amazon.co.uk. Once your order has shipped, you'll be able to write your first customer review (Prime subscriptions, gift cards and promotional discounts don't count toward the £40 minimum).

I've reviewed your Amazon.co.uk account for [email protected] and I see you haven't made at least £40 in purchases on this account yet. To post a review from this account, you'll need to meet this purchase requirement."

I don't know, perhaps my account's been flagged or something and once you're tagged, you must spend before being able to post. That's just plain strange as I've been able to post the review for The Crimson Orb and Just the Beginning in this reading round without hiccups on the uk site.

The problem here, Christian, is - I think - that you are trying to post from a Zon UK account instead of from your own US account. I suspect that somehow you made a UK account for yourself and that is what is causing you the issue.

Try completely logging out of Amazon in every way - double check you have logged out in the UK. Then log in your own US account - and then just change the .com on the book url to .co.uk.

It might work :)
