Hi everyone! I just wanted to apologise for the review dump I just did, and for being here less than usual in the past few weeks. A close friend of ours took his own life a few weeks ago and it has been all consuming, but I'm coming out of the fog so I'm back. I've been reminded not to take life for granted, and to make sure that life doesn't get so busy that my loved ones are at a distance. That includes all of you lovely people. x

Susie, I am so sorry for your loss. I noticed you were not around as much but I also know you are doing a Running with Ollie challenge and chalked it up to busyness with that! I hope you and your friend’s family managed to find some measure of comfort these past few weeks.

Susie, I unfortunately know what it’s like to lose a dear friend and in that particular tragic way. It’s hard to understand. All I can offer is that the tragic act is one we hopefully cannot comprehend, and yet there is something important about keeping that person and their gifts and the moment in your mind and heart. I miss my friend every day. And yet I do believe she is at peace. I am sending you love and strength and deepest sympathies for an extraordinary person and dear friend. Love, Amy

Reading this immediately reminded me of my son's friend, a young and gift man that I knew from the time he was in grade school. It is so sad to go through this. I'm sending you, and his family, warm thoughts and prayers.

Oh, Susie, my heart goes out to you and to your friend's family and his wider circle of friends. I've lost two people dear to me to suicide: my favorite uncle and my brother's best friend. It's tough to get through, but you will. It helped me to consider the great pain they must have been in to make that awful final choice, and to pray that they were finally able to rest in peace.

I'm sorry Susie. Wishing for you to have the strength to carry through and also to be a comfort for the victims family.
