This is a book I read in eleventh grade, this nonfiction work by John Krakauer is a favorite of many. Although it was not my favorite book, I still believe it's well written and entertaining. The book tells of a troubled kids life throughout his early years and then though college. it's enlightening tale of his life and his decisions along the way are intriguing. The books tells of his struggles with his identity and his purpose, and throughout his troubles be leaves his college without telling anyone where hes going. He hitchhikes and travels around and meets some influential people in his life. He eventually ends up in Denali and tries to survive in Alaska with practically nothing, and to not spoil the book, he has to overcome many obstacles in Alaska, and has an unexpected way of death. Overall the book teaches a lot of good lessons and is an interesting read.
