In A Dog's Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron, it tells the story of a dog who lives many lives trying to fulfill his purpose on this earth. The story is told in the point of view from the dog. It isn’t always told however in the same voice because the dog changes every few chapters for various reasons. The idea behind the book is that dogs have a purpose to serve in their lives as well as their humans lives. The story starts out with a stray dog who is rescued and brought to "The Yard". After his life there he finds his forever home with his boy who he grows up with right by his side. Continuing on, he finds himself living with a member of the canine unit and they play “find� and hunt down the bad guys and missing people. This is a story of love, loyalty, and leisure. A Dog’s Purpose is a story that will have you crying, laughing and smiling ear to ear. I often found myself doing one if not all at once. You will be on the edge of your seat waiting to read what will happen next and you will be pleasantly surprised with how easy it is to continue reading. I highly recommend this book to people who enjoy dogs and their adventures.
