I'll go first. I just got home from one of my favorite used book stores, and adopted these:

Under the Dragon's Tail by Maureen Jennings
Murder on the Red River by Marcie Rendon, and
Laura by Vera Caspary

After weeks of being on the waiting list, I was finally able to pick up The Red Tent by Anita Diamant--recommended by Carol (I think). I'm about half way through. Enjoying it so far.

I'm impressed that there's a wait list, Tamara, for a fiction novel that's - what - 20 years old? Fingers crossed that your enjoyment continues.

I've checked out of my library these books:

3. Oranges are Not the Only Fruit by Jeanette Winterson

Currently reading Wuthering Heights and since its not my style, looking forward to finish it fast so i can go on with the others.

My current paper library book is Washington Black by Esi Edugyan which I am really enjoying, and I just downloaded the audiobook of Small Victories: Spotting Improbable Moments of Grace by Anne Lamott.

@Su, I am not a fan of Wuthering Heights either. People seem to either love it or hate it.

I just finished a galley of Whatever Gets You Through: Twelve Women on Life After Sexual Assault. Highly recommend. Comes out in April.

Oranges has also been on my TBR forever. Ever since I read Weight.

I just got The Tall Woman by Wilma Dykeman in the mail, a novel a friend recommended to me in another group.

Lark, this sounds familiar to me but more like, maybe I saw a TV movie of it in the 70s? I haven’t read it. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts, not least of which because I don’t think you read mid-Century novels often, although you certainly run miles around me in your reading breadth.

This has been on my TBR and looks fascinating.

I stopped by the library and picked up Holy Lands by Amanda Sthers, and Angie Thomas’s sophomore effort, On the Come Up. I’m quite excited for both to be nearby.

Today’s library find was a graphic novel, Unterzakhn by Leela Corman.

I have borrowed "The Nightingale" and the ebook "Surely you're joking Mr Feynman"

I've borrowed Duet for Three by Joan Barfoot and Waiting for the Monsoon by Threes Anna and have just placed Margaret Atwood's The Testaments on hold. I think I'm 478th in line so it's going to be a while.

It's 4th on my list -- because I have others with no renewals that I have to read first. Though, part of me wonders if anything could top Confessions.

Currently listening to Akata Witch on audio from the library and picked up To the Lighthouse for my in-person book club. Not to mention also Lizzie Siddal: The Tragedy of a Pre-Raphaelite Supermodel to read with you guys. Soon.

I finally got Becoming being read by Michelle Obama.

@Carol, if you're a fan of Confessions, I think Penance is a safe investment. Only caveat being potential trigger of murdered 10 year old girl who is violated as part of the murder. It's not in real time nor revealed in graphic detail later, but I wanted to put it out there. My "review" /review/show...

The Glass Woman by Caroline Lea is the latest I borrowed from the library. And I picked up a used copy of The Night Sister because I loved this book the first time I read it and I've been wanting to re-read it before summer's gone, and Jennifer McMahon is one of my fave authors.

I finally read one of those free Amazon Prime Read short stories. (I’m far better at downloading than remembering they are on my Kindle and selecting them to read.). Jacqueline Woodson’s Before Her. I loved it and it took maybe ten minutes to read.
