Welcome, Julia! So glad to have you with us.
Just to let everyone know, we're trialing a new way of discussing books this month. In addition to our discussion here, we'll also have a group chat running on Instagram. It's up to you which you want to join, or if you want to be in both. If you do want to be included, let either Emily or I know and we can add you in!

I always mean to read the Stella longlist (or even the shortlist) and never manage more than one book!
Hey guys! The poll for our October read is sitting pretty even for both Anchor Point and The Misogyny Factor, so if everyone is ok with it we might do another double read.
You can opt to read one, or both or another choice. I will post discussion posts for both books, and you can pop in and out of those as normal.
Happy reading!
Em xx

I am also originally from Perth, although in Melbourne now. Is this the part where we compare where we went to school and how many people we have in common as is tradition when Perth people meet?

I mostly post about books on Instagram: julias_reading and I am an avid reader of Australian female authors.
I am really excited about joining this reading group! I try and read as many of the Stellar prize longlist as I can and have a few of the titles from recent years sitting on my shelves unread. So I am looking forward to each monthly read and discussing with you all.
