GBR stands for ‘Group Buddy Read�, which is a group-wide buddy read, led by one of the group’s moderators. Everyone is welcome to join.
How does it work? (old method - (view spoiler)[
Each month we will ask you to put forward suggestions as to what book you would like to be the GBR for the following month.
Note: Recommendations should be YA books, stand alone or first in a series, and should not have already been a GBR in the group.

When we have received enough suggestions, we will go through them, and then put the ones we deem to be most appropriate into a poll for people to vote on.
How do we decide which books go into the poll?
Firstly we check to see which suggested books are YA, then we look for books that are first in a series or standalones, and make sure that the book hasn’t been a GBR previously. We then try to pick books from several different genres (having 12 horror books for example would leave out quite a lot of people), and we also remove books which the mods have read and hated (we don’t want to ruin your enjoyment of a book by moaning about how awful it is).
We then randomly select 12-15 books from the pile, and put them in the poll.

When can I start a GBR book?
Each GBR has a start date; we usually do 2 a month, and sometimes an Indie-Author title as well. The thread for each book will say ‘Starting �.� with a date that is likely to be the 1st, 8th, or 15th of the month. You can start reading at any time after this date, until a full month later, so if the book starts on the first it will run until the end of the month, if it starts on the 15th, it will run until the 14th of the following month.
You can read the book and discuss it with us at any time during the GBR period, and one of the mods and other readers will discuss it with you. The mod leading the discussion will usually start the book on the start date so that they can discuss the book with people throughout the month.
