Summer is officially over, so it’s time to wrap it all up with a monthly reading wrap up!
Firstly though, Thank you SO much to everyone who participated in our 2019 Adult Summer Reading Challenge here on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ! You helped the library break an all time record of Adult participants in summer reading and helped grow our Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ page by coming to participant in the challenge! The grand prize winners have been drawn and notified and we did have a Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ participant in our winner pool! Watch for the challenge again next summer because it will return! And now onto the reading wrap up!
This month I read
The Princess Diaries and Princess in the Spotlight by Meg Cabot- I grew up loving The Princess movies and I finally decided to read the books. I read the first and listened to the second on audio. Great quick read and listen that was just fun to be nostalgic about!
The Giver by Lois Lowry- I feel like I’m one of the only people who didn’t read this book in school as a kid, but I finally got around to it. This was the LCBC book of the month. I can see why this is such a classic. It was very thought provoking and well written. I devoured this one quickly because I couldn’t stop reading.
