Jonel Feel free to use this thread to chat about what you're reading during the read-a-thon and how it's going for you! Also, lets share our tips & tricks for making this a successful read-a-thon.

Caroline Sandström (ccaaroline) I just need to ask if these kind of Donald Duck comic books count?

Jonel So, this read a thon is quickly coming to a close, depending on where everyone is. How'd everyone's week go?

Jonel Way to go Kathryn!

I've done fairly well. I used today making up for the fact that this week at work has been so hectic wrapping up for a holiday shut down. I was hoping to hit 2000pages & finish up some outstanding group reads & pick it for me's from the year. None of that happened, but I've read some awesome books.

I've got to tally all my books sometime tomorrow to come up with my total. I've blocked it off as another day of reading.

Tahlia | 113 comments my week didn't go too well! I actually read more in the 24 read-a-thon which isn't a result I was expecting. I'm currently at 600 pages of reading and I have three books on the go..oh my. I'm hoping to at least finish one of those books today though as it is currently the last day of the read a thon in my time zone.

This really is a hectic time of year, isn't it?

Tahlia | 113 comments it sure is! I'm on school holidays thankfully but I haven't gone to bed before midnight for like the past four weeks haha. It is also stinking hot here in Australia so uhhh summer is not my favourite season lol.

message 12: by Jonel (new)

Jonel Hahaha. Weather here is fluctuating from bitterly cold to damp and wet this week.

message 13: by Tahlia (new)

Tahlia | 113 comments perfect reading weather! (in my opinion :) )

message 14: by Jonel (new)

Jonel It is the perfect reading weather, but it's wreaking havoc on my poor dog.

message 15: by Tahlia (new)

Tahlia | 113 comments aww what's your dogs name?

message 16: by Jonel (new)

Jonel Lady. Not very original, I know, but she came with the name when I adopted her from the local Humane Society. She'd been there so long that she knew her name.

message 17: by Tahlia (new)

Tahlia | 113 comments that's a cute name though :-) It makes me happy to know you gave her a second chance at having a life filled with care!

message 18: by Jonel (new)

Jonel She is definitely a sweetie & worth it. Even when she won't let me read. lol.

message 19: by Tahlia (new)

Tahlia | 113 comments haha I totally understand that! This morning I was trying to read and one of my cats was trying to get me to focus all of the attention on her, it's worth it though they are too cute

message 20: by Jonel (new)
