Hi Theresa,

Robert K. Massie is a brilliant writer. I read his book on Catherine last year I think and found it very rich reading. I've put a couple more of his books on my TBR list.

Theresa~OctoberLace (octoberlace) | 773 comments Zara,

I just posted my Robert K. Massie list. I read Catherine the Great: Portrait of a Woman in September 2013 and Peter the Great: His Life and World in September 2014, so I won't re-read those in 2015. I am planning to re-read Nicholas and Alexandra which I read and loved years ago when my oldest daughter was still getting up for 2am feedings. I agree that he's a brilliant writer, and his works are very well researched.

Holli (hollidemyan) | 95 comments I would like to sign up for this. I originally planned on reading Stephen King, but I dont think I will have time to read all of his books so I think I will go with Nicholas Sparks.

Jojobean I have a question. There are a few authors I'd like to read who have a whole load of books but I have read some already. Would I have to re-read the ones I read?

Hi Joanne,

If you read the books recently and don't want to re-read them by all means miss them. One way or another you will have read your chosen author's books.

Kathryn | 581 comments I thought about doing this one, but at this stage I don't think I will - I don't want to rush through all the remaining works of any of my favourite authors in 12 months - I'd rather spread them out and savour them! But I'm enjoying seeing other people's author choices :-)

Theresa~OctoberLace (octoberlace) | 773 comments I found 2 books by Haruki Murakami that I had not included in my list for his complete works. These are actually novellas and are extremely difficult to get.

The first, Hear the Wind Sing, is out of print but GR had the ebook available for download, so I'm good there. This article also says it is set to be re-translated in 2015:

The second is a follow-on to the first, Pinball, 1973. It is not available at my library, nor any other library in Texas where we do inter-library loans. I have found it for sale online, but for hundreds of dollars. This will be part of the two-novella re-translation expected out late in 2015.

So...is it okay if I exclude the second novella from my complete works?

Adriana | 3888 comments I kind of want to read all of Redwall and his Flying Dutchman trilogy. Brian Jacques has a series of 5 books called Tribes of Redwall but those aren't in my library. Is it okay if I read the two series and leave out that one or will that not count? In total I would be reading 25 books without the Tribes of Redwall series (it's considered an accessory? to the Redwall series).

Adriana, by all means if you are unable to get the books from the library leave them out. I've had to do that as I just don't have the funds to buy a whole heap of books that I'll probably only read once.

Erika if you've read some books by your favourite author already and don't want to re-read them then concentrating just on those books you haven't read is also fine."

I'm not re-reading books read in the past few years, but I do plan a couple of re-reads of books read many years ago.
