That said, I did really like the snapshots of scenes that didn't directly involve the core group of kids. It showed how the rest of the community was reacting to the tap out.

I have read books that were told in alternating voices. They have to be done well for it to work. I've even listened to audio books told in alternating voices. With this it is important to have two narrators so that listeners don't get lost.

I did enjoy the snapshot scenes so that we could see how other people throughout the area were reacting and handling the situation. It was nice to see outside of the main characters' perspectives.

Thank you for your response Michelle. The audio book version of this book was great for hearing all of the different voices and perspectives, and it made it easier to follow the story.
