I found an audiobook years ago and cant remeber the name but desperately want to read it again.

Here's what i remember:
-there is a writer who leaves his home town
-he returns because a family death
-he wrote a biography about the people in the town
-he said a gym teacher molested students that wasnt true
-his book is going to be made into a movie
-it has a indie movie feel

Ive searched everything i can thjnk of but can not fund this movie!
