I thought I would lay out all the challenges I'm participating in this year - as already it seems that there are a large number of them!

This is just for my own personal "keep track" meter;)

Aussie Readers Aussie Author Genre Challenge 2015 - 36 books - COMPLETED

Aussie Readers Personal Challenge - WON'T GET FINISHED

ŷ Reading Challenge - 250 books - COMPLETED 1/11/15

Australian Women Writers Challenge 2015 - 100 books - COMPLETED

Aussie Lovers of Crime/Mystery/Thriller/Suspense - Annual Challenge 2015 - 12 books - COMPLETED

Aussie Lovers of Crime/Mystery/Thriller/Suspense - Quarterly Reads - 2xQuarter - 8 books (unless I've read them already) - ONE QUARTER TO FINISH

Literary Exploration Easy Challenge 2015 - 12 books - COMPLETED

Aussie Readers Seasonal Challenges - COMPLETED

Aussie Readers Monthly Challenges - TWO MONTHS TO GO

If I decide to add in any more challenges I'll edit! And as I complete them, I'll note it in here too:)

Susan (goodreadscomsusanaustralia) | 452 comments Yikes Brenda!

Are all these titles unique to each challenge, or is there some overlap?

message 3: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79176 comments Mod
I agree with your Yikes Susan! No thankfully there are some overlaps - though not as many as I'd like!

Of course the GR one is the total of all books read this year so technically that one doesn't count:)

Veronica ⭐️ | 2382 comments That's a great idea Brenda. I have it all on sheets of paper lying around on the study floor. Still not fully utilising my iPad.

I've got a note book that it's in, but I felt this would work for me in a much better way Veronica:)

message 6: by Ryan (new)

Ryan Wow. I wish I could read that fast.

One day you might be able to Ryan:)

You still can't beat the notebook. My girls get embarrassed when I pull out my notebook and write things down. " Mum, that's what your phone is for".

Paper is much more reliable that technology! It will never run out of battery, get wiped out in a storm, not be there when you drop it...need I go on;)

message 10: by Marianne (new)

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9888 comments No doubt you will achieve all this with time to spare! I have every confidence in you;)

message 11: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79176 comments Mod
Haha thanks Marianne :)

message 12: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn | 9723 comments I keep a list of all the current challenges on my iPad notebook so I can refer to it when I've finished a book, cross it off and see what I feel like starting next. Seems to work quite well (except when it runs out of battery etc)

Looks like you should have a good and hopefully enjoyable reading year Brenda!

message 13: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79176 comments Mod
Thanks Carolyn, you should too:) As long as we all enjoy it, that's the main thing:)

That's what I do as well Carolyn, I use the Notes app to write reviews, make challenge lists and etc and can keep them all there or copy and paste my reviews from there too. I usually print out a challenge list too, for ready reference or notes on the run.

Jülie ☼♄  (jlie) | 6576 comments I also discovered that if I copy my entire challenge list/s from GR with its links, and save it to my Notes app on ipad, the links remain active and I can use them to quickly access any of my book choices on GR from my Notes :D

message 16: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79176 comments Mod
That's clever Jools, and very time saving too!

message 17: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn | 3569 comments I have my challenges here on GR, in a Word doc and printed out as well!! That's kind of a good idea about copying the challenge lists with the links, Julie - I normally remove the hyperlinks if I copy and paste my list (which is a hassle in itself), so maybe keeping them is a better idea for next time...

message 18: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn | 3569 comments Oh - and good luck with keeping track of everything, Brenda!!

message 19: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 79176 comments Mod
Thanks Kathryn:)

message 20: by Sharon (new)

Sharon | 5391 comments Tracking your challenges is a great idea, Brenda. I've also signed up for more challenges this year than last and I'm not sure how I'll complete them all, but it will fun trying. Mine are all written in a notebook and all the books have post it notes on them outlining which challenge they are for. Craig asked me what was with all the coloured paper on the books and when I explained it he shook his head at me. I replied - It's called being organised you should try it some time :)

Good luck!
