Oh no! I'm a Sarah Dessen lover...and her books are standalones (but have aspects of each other...like the same setting). I really enjoyed all the ones I've read of hers! I've enjoyed Everything, Everything & Simon vs. the Homosapien's Agenda...& heard good things about Fangirl, The Sun Is Also A Star, & The Upside of Unrequited. Maybe try one of those out?

I listened to that book on audiobook this year & it was amazing! I was really surprised by how many important themes & discussing it had in it. I didn't expect for it to be so impactful but also lighthearted.
