AMBITIOUS! I like it lol

But let's do different prompts for the second round?

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Sounds fun! I'm definitely up for it.

message 5: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Sure Tien. I can do a big book for prompt 2 for the second round.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

I would like to go for prompt 6 for the second round.

message 7: by Joanna (new)

Joanna (walker) | 606 comments I can do Prompt 3 for the second round. Not sure if I'll completely finish 2 books though.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

My first book is finished ;-). Milk and Honey for Prompt 1. Quick as it is a book of poetry but packs a punch. Loved it.

I really like that one too.

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Yay Anna!

I've finished my first book too. Starry Eyes for prompt 5 comfort read. It was such a teenager book, but I still enjoyed it

It's okay Joanna if you can only do one. For the last 2 read-a-thon I read 4-5 books. But with a bigger book I'll probably read less

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

I could do 1 or 4 for a second round.

message 12: by Kristina Simon (new)

Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) | 801 comments I can do anything except 1 (finished that one) for a second round.

Ellis, I had to put you for 1 because only Kristina & I are left and we have both completed 1.

@Kristina, your pick: 4 or 5?

Done! I'll take 5 then :)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Looks like we traded our prompts Tien :D you did a big one for round 1 and I did a comfort read, now it is the other way around.
Tien, which big book are you reading?
I'm thinking about reading a small big one of a little over 500 pages

Yep, my book isn't that big either, 516 pages ;)

am about halfway through the audio

Great stuff Lusie!

Y'all are definitely going to be able to tell which nights I don't have my son, by page numbers alone. It's amazing how much reading you get done when someone isn't climbing all over you or ripping your book out of your hand!

awww, how old is he, Ellis?

No, but I'd be interested in it. I'll be interested in hearing what you think.

message 26: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments lol Ellis. I know what you mean. He sounds cute.

Not sure what to read next... Joanna said she might not be able to finish her second book, but that is the one prompt I already finished though maybe I should just up my goal...

I have finished my first (prompt 2) book for the team.

I haven't quite decided which book/s to fit for my second (prompt 5); I'm mid-read 2 atm so I'll see which I finish first then put it here ;p

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh, I finished my Round 1 (Prompt 6) book on Tuesday! I maybe should have mentioned that.

message 31: by Tien (new)

Tien (tiensblurb) | 9026 comments Mod
yes, please let me know when you finished the books for the team goal & when everyone is done, I'll post in the main thread :)

message 32: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Thanks Tien. For both prompts I picked easy reads (romance). If no one thinks they won't be able to finish then I'll just read a book for a random prompt.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

Finished An American Marriage this morning for Prompt 6.

Need to have a look to see what I will read next. I am in the middle of Bel Canto which I think is a Prompt 6 book too so may try to finish that one this weekend.

message 34: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Anna, you can't use a book for the team prompts if you started it before the read-a-thon, but it does count for the page numbers

Hey, Lusie. I'll definitely finish my round 1 book, but I'm not sure I'm going to get my round 2 -- Prompt 4 (Series) book -- finished before Tuesday. So, if you're looking for something to read and you happen to have a prompt 4 book available, feel free! LOL

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

I just finished my Round 2 book (Prompt 1).

message 37: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Kristina, I didn't see your message until now and already picked up another book. The one I'm reading works for prompt 1.

I think Anna means the first book for the team prompt and that's her second team book so she's done her bit & will continue reading what she was reading earlier ;)

message 39: by Joanna (new)

Joanna (walker) | 606 comments I'll finish my Prompt 4, but I'm not likely to finish another one for the team goal. I had too many books already started.

Tien (tiensblurb) | 9026 comments Mod
Not to worry, Joanna, I'm reading a book that could fit into Prompt 3 which was your second book allocation, right?

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

Lusie wrote: "Anna, you can't use a book for the team prompts if you started it before the read-a-thon, but it does count for the page numbers"

That's OK. I completed my team prompts - this is for extra reading.

If prompt 4 series for the second round needs to be picked up I can do it. I started Scarlet yesterday.

That would be great. Thanks, Anna! It seems my next series book has become popular, for some reason. There's a 4 week waiting list on the library website now. I should have grabbed it when it was available!

message 44: by Kristina Simon (new)

Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) | 801 comments I finished my Round 1, prompt 3 book last night. Sooo good!! I'm behind on updating (I've been reading instead!). I'll get around to updating shortly.

message 45: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments I finished Steelheart for prompt 1, but we don't need a book for that one

message 46: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments That's frustrating, Kristina! Was the ending of the previous book a cliffhanger?

message 47: by Kristina Simon (new)

Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) | 801 comments Lusie wrote: "That's frustrating, Kristina! Was the ending of the previous book a cliffhanger?"

No, thankfully! It's one of the In Death books by J.D. Robb. Weird because my library had the ebook available when I said I'd do prompt 4 but then 2 people jumped on it before I went back to check it out. Oh well, more time for reading my 600+ page prompt 2 book, I guess. ;-)
