Emma I have a few things here on the movie, although I see that was all from 2012/2013, and it's now 2015 and shit all has been happening. I am in love and obsessed with this series, and I reaaaaally hope there will be a movie!

Here is the IMDb page, but it's got nothing:

Okay... settle an agrument on Taylor Lautner starring in Incarceron. Who, exactly, is he going to be cast as? There is no WAY he could be Finn, and I don't think he could be Keiro, because Keiro is blue-eyed and blond-haired. Jared, maybe? I think I could see him as Jared.

What do you guys think about a so-called Incarceron movie?

message 2: by Lev (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lev No it's not happening anymore. They casted Taylor Lautner and were going to turn this into a film series but with the epic failure that was Abduction Taylor Lautner lost all the demand to star in films. So because of that this film suffered from the decision to not be created.

Emma that's the worst thing I have ever heard. fucking Taylor lautner, why does HE have to star in it? why couldn't they just drop him and find someone else to play Finn? I'm sure if they tried right now they would find some willing kids who need a job. an Incarceron movie made in 2015/16 would be really good. I mean look at all these ya books being turned into movies!! someone would want it, wouldn't they? this makes me so angry I want to finish my film and TV course and start it all up myself!!

Stephen Here's the latest news I could find on it.

looks like the author is being optimistic! I know it was dropped by Fox, and picked up by Amber, but Amber Entertainment's website:

says nothing about it, and they have an "in development" page where I'd expect to see something about it :/

I very much believe the film has been dropped. Which is a f*cking shame, because this is one of the best series I've ever read, and I bet it could blow Divergent right out of the focus. If this book ever ever becomes a movie, I hope it's in 10 years or so, (maybe 6 or 8) because HOPEFULLY, by then all the dystopia YA will be been-there-done-that and Incarceron can be new, exciting, and better. Eh, it's just my dreams.

I am seriously considering moving to Hollywood or wherever it is you need to go and doing this film myself.

Stephen Amen! haha, seriously though. you have a good point about letting all the teen-fantasy movies die down first. I just really really want to see this turn into a movie. and yes, if it was done right, it would blow divergent, hunger games, and all the other spin-offs out of the water.

Yeah, that's right.

And not only that, all the actors who are acting in these movies now will be grown up and too old to play the characters, so then we could get a whole bunch on new, fresh young actors unheard of, or who haven't been in a dystopian movie before. Because I mean, you've got Shanliene (??) Woodly playing Tris and Hazel, and if she were to play Claudia for example... I mean she wouldn't be Claudia, she'd be Tris and Hazel also. Does that make sense? Yeah.
