Ana da Silva always assumed she’d die young, she just never expected it to be at the hands of Famine, the haunting immortal who once spared her life so many years ago. If there’s one thing Famine is good at, it’s cruelty. And how these blighted bastards deserve it. Try as he might, he can’t forget what they once did to him. But when Ana, a ghost from his past, corners him and promises pain for what he so recently did to her, she and her empty threats captivate him, and he decides to keep her around.

In spite of themselves, Ana and Famine are drawn to each other. But at the end of the day, the two are enemies. Nothing changes that. Not one kind act, not two. And definitely not a few steamy nights. But enemies or reluctant lovers, if they don’t stop themselves soon, heaven will.

At first I thought "wait they're not going to travel with Death and make this a polyamorous romance?!" but then she stabbed him and they escaped to go find War & Pestilence :) (hide spoiler)]

Where the others more seemed to go along with it as their purpose, Famine actually seems to enjoy it. I hate how blatant he is with killing people in front of the heroine. Feel like I'd be going crazy by now if I was her. I also think it's cool the way the author was able to build the story and have Ana stay with Famine as he destroys the world. (hide spoiler)]

Not sure what I expect to happen in the last one really. I mean will Death even be redeemable? Is there a woman out there for him or will his brothers and their women have to take him out somehow? Ughhhh I'm dying already and I literally just finished.
I was a little ticked about the whole drug cartel leader though, I mena come on, obviously he was scheming in the background and could not be trusted smh. But he got his in the end, wish he would have suffered more but that's my brutal side talking lol
Really loved this book and how the hero had to make the decision to give up his immortality and powers unlike the previous two who were more pushed into a corner than anything. I kind of loved the realness of Ana and the life she led. I mean there's only so much for a woman to do surviving the apocalypse alone. And damn if she didn't own everything about herself. Her trying to make him uncomfortable with sexual innuendos and quips was rather comical as well. I really enjoyed this and hope inspiration hits the author quick for the next book because life in 2020 is shit and we need good things lmao

This one was way better than the last one but still not quite as good as the first one. I loved this couple; they seemed different than the first two which is a plus. The story line also was different enough that it didn't just feel like a repetition of the last two but with a change of characters. This one also got me really excited for the next one and I hope that the cast of characters actually get together in the finale.
