A place to discuss books with the theme "Trickster" for our 2021 reading challenge.

I just finished Return of the Trickster for this category. It is the third and final book of Eden Robinson's Trickster Trilogy, the first being Son of a Trickster.
All the books not only would count for this category, but also for Witches and Magical Helpers. In fact there are even a few talking animals and ghosts!

I used The Master and Margarita for this one.

I just finished The Book of Lost Things, trickster is a major character.

I read this two years ago. I can't remember why, precisely, but at the time I didn't engage with it. I do remember being put out by the portrayal of Snow White! Anyhow, seeing your post made me return to the audiobook which I listened to (partly) while painting some outdoor furniture this afternoon. I'm picking up so much more from the story than I did upon first reading. Maybe a case of reading when the time is right. But thank you for reminding me of the book...and yes, a trickster lurks within. I also think this could be used for some of the other challenges.

Its been a number of years since I read it, but I don't remember the trickster character. Which one is it?

I'm happy to have brought it back to the surface for you! The portrait of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs was one of the more entertaining segments! I tried to imagine the Disney-fication of her. In my imagination, she morphed into one of Cinderella's evil step-sisters trying to jam her foot into the slipper.
