I only read two books at hte same time if one is a school book.

For me it’s because I like to start many things at once and see what I can actually accomplish. Sort of like how you would start a couple shows at a time and binge watch them.

co (co_cooo) | 90 comments It's like writing a piece but starting another in the middle of it.

ruby | 3 comments I either get bored or my interest steers into the next book so I go on and start it whilst i’m still reading the first lol.

Me too...

🌥mais🌥 (maisbooks) I am not really a fan of reading books at once as it can get a bit complicated if the books are a little bit similar or have the same genre but it happens to me automatically and I start reading more than one book at a time right now I am reading 3 books which is the most I have ever read at the same time .

ܴë (inareaderseyes) I read multiple books because i cannot choose JUST one to focus on. Like, these are my thoughts going through my head:

Won't this will be unavaliable tomorrow?
What if someone gets the last one?
Crap, they only have one more book.
What if i finish this oneee??
Oh wow. i need a break from this one.
Are you kidding me? I already have 5 books checked out? I guess I'll go ahead and get this one, right? What's the harm?
so yea, I guess you could say I have an addiction to books :)

Carrot :3 (on a hiatus) (carrotxo) It’s because too many books entice me and if a book’s a little boring, I pick up another one. 😶

Lea | 8 comments Because the mood I’m in for a book changes easily. I need a book to match each mood I’m feeling!

That’s a nice idea. A book for each mood.

Joely Farkas (fivetwoandunder) | 14 comments I read a lot of books at once because if I get to a boring part in one I'll put it down and not finish it, but if I'm reading several books, it's always an interesting part in at least one and that keeps me jumping between them all.. lol now that I think about it, I feel like it doesn't make much sense, but it works for whatever reason! :)

message 71: by ☆~ܳٳܳ (new)

☆~ܳٳܳ I never did this until a good friend told me to do it. It is a great idea and now I often read 4 or 5 books at once. The most boring one ends up due back at the library before I can finish it but that is OK as I am able to keep moving and meet my goal on the reading challenge.

message 72: by Crystal (new)

Crystal Do you only watch one TV show in a given week? Do you want chicken for dinner every day? No, do why read just one book at once?
I read at least one fiction and one non fiction at once. Then, I add another for a book club or another bc it's ready at the library, and there might be 4 or 5 books I read at once. Then I'll have an audio book I'm listening to and a second audio book I listen to with my husband. Then there's books I'm reading reviews for and planning to read, authors I look into, or reviews I've put off.
I don't want to read about physics while I'm about to fall asleep. I don't want to read a page turner thriller when I only have 10 minutes. Sometimes I just feel like a different book.

Eilidh Reads (eilidh_reads) I get bored if I only read one, then get in a slump

Danny | 9 comments I just like variety. Read one book for a few hoyrs, then something else te next day, switch every so often and make sure to get back to things eventually.
