I saw this question on one of the groups I’m in (Bookmarked) and thought it’s a great question to ask! Credit to them for coming up with the question!

Maitha (imaithany) | 11 comments The way I rate is that all books start with a 5. If I didn't like something (it depends if I just disliked it or hated it) They will start losing stars

That’s an interesting way to rate!

Rushali Gupta (happy_soul) | 194 comments Here's how I rate:-

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I absolutely loved the book, it's characters and the author's writing style and would recommend everyone to read it atleast once. Generally, the books I complete in 2 days end up being 5 stars! They also find place in my favorites shelf.
Absolutely worth my time and money.❤️

🌟🌟🌟🌟 I loved the book and the characters were perfect and the story plot/setting was amazing, but I thought that there's something missing or it could have been best but it isn't. Or maybe sometimes it's that I end up comparing the book with another one with a similar plot and end up giving it 4 stars if it's short of something 💖(I know this might be not the best way to rate books but that's how my mind processes it..)

🌟🌟🌟 I liked the book but it was average and I didn't find anything new in it, the same old plot, the similar writing style and the turn of events are common, the familiar way of character progression. It's good for only one time read and if you need a light read you can pick this one up.💗

🌟🌟 It wasn't a good one but was readable, it's slow and basically I dreadingly finished it just to know how story ends. The writing style of author isn't good and repetitive. 💚

🌟 These are mostly DNFs and the ones I absolutely hate. I hardly liked anything and ended up being disappointed and wouldn't ever recommend reading this one...it was a waste of time and money.🖤

Oh never mind! This is a general question and you don't need to give credit to our group but thanks!❤️

ꪑꪖᦔꫀꪶ꠸ꪶ꫶ | 33 comments 1 - If I give a book a one star that means it was HORRIBLE, I rarely ever do this as I find a good in all books!
2- Just plain bad/disappointing, had so much potential
3- Wasn't incredible, but wasn't bad. Just good!
4 - Wow really good, loved it. Still missing something though....
5 - ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC NEW FAV!

ܴë (inareaderseyes) ✩✩✩✩: Impactful. This is a pretty flawless book and was an awesome read. This book made a major impact on my point of view about something.
✩✩✩✩: Loved reading it. It is a really good book. There could be very minor improvements but that is okay.
✩✩: Satisfactory, not too bad. This was an average but satisfying read. It was a little rewarding, not too much.
✩✩: Fine but not happy with it. It was more irritating than rewarding. It was problematic but it was less of a struggle to finish like 1-star books.
: Complete waste of time. I disliked the book so much that I did not really want to finish the book.

message 20: by sophia (new)

sophia (itsmesophia) My rating system:

Five Stars: (AMAZING!!!)The novel was absolutely amazing! I loved every aspect of it and could not put the book down at all. I think that everyone should read this book for the sake of saving humanity. The following quote demonstrates this well:

“Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book. - Hazel Grace from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Four Stars: (Really liked it!!) It was a fabulous book and I really liked it. Most aspects of the book were great. There were just a few things that bugged me. I was really intrigued and could barely put it down.

Three Stars: (Liked it!) The book is good or great. I cruised through the book, liking the idea, but not liking some parts. Something makes the book confusing or off, like a too-perfect character, a horribly-designed character, an unstable plot, too cliché, etc., but overall, still a great read.

Two Stars: (It was okay.) It was just a really average or okay book, with nothing that distinguished itself. It was not unique, and did not stand out. Nothing was "great" about the book. Everything was average. I had a hard time getting through the entirety of the novel.

One Star: (Did not like it.) I'm sorry, but I just did not like it. At all. I probably had a VERY hard time getting through it, if I finished the book at all. I most likely did not finish it. The book had so many things wrong with it that I could not fathom how it was ever published or how some people would actually enjoy reading it.
