Does a book published in May (5th month) count, or is it only for publication year?

Sorry, to be sure i understand perfectly : 5 can only be in the year, and not the day nor month ? (for instance if publication date is January 15th, 2021 it won't work, correct?)

Correct. RwS looks only at publication years.
