Have you started your summer reading? If so, what are you reading? I decided to start my summer reading by re-reading A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness.

During this last year of sheltering-in-place, I have looked to the past and have been re-reading some of my favorites.

I decided to start my first summer book selection about witches, vampires and other magical beings in A Discovery of Witches. It is a fictional, romantic fantasy story, from the All Souls Trilogy, Book One. It is the story abut Diana Bishop, who is a historian and also a witch. She encounters a long-lost magic manuscript from an Oxford library. A vampire, Matthew Clairmont and others want possession of the magical book. Diana and Matthew enter a forbidden relationship and many cross their paths to stop it and stop Diana's growing powers.

There is also a T.V. show based on the book on the AMC+ channel starring Matthew Goode, Teresa Palmer.
